Judith Literary Press announces Lágrimas, a new collection of poems by Nasario Garcia and winner of the 2021 New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards Bilingual Adult Book category.  Praise for Lágrimas:

"These poems ring out with the truth of the world and the reality of the human heart.   One of New Mexico's greatest poets, Nasario García speaks to the interior life of those who are honored to be New Mexicans, who are fascinated by life and its irony, and those who feel blessed by our homes, our families, and the gifts of friendship."
 — V.B. Price

"Lágrimas: Poems of Joy and Sorrow delivers a rare, first-hand glimpse of village life in the Rio Puerco Valley. Though the New Mexico village was abandoned more than a half century ago, these poems, told in the enchanted voice of a child, feel wide-eyed and close at hand. In these wholehearted poems, joy gets the better of sorrow."
—Anne Valley-Fox

Read Ghosts of the Río Puerco in New Mexico Magazine to learn more about Nasario and where he is writing from.
